The GOal

Create awareness of project and reach as many of the city's residents as possible

The social project consisted of three goals: 1) Drive more customers to local restaurants. 2) Give students discounts to the restaurants and 3) sell apparel based on pride of the local region in order to fund the project.


Market Research Findings

Many local photographers

The local city was based in the French Alps, home to many travel photographers and influencers.

Strong student network

With the city being home to a majority of students, students were very social and interacted with each other on Instagram.

Restaurants active on Instagram

The local restaurants had very large followings of the target audience and interacted very often with them.


The Strategy: What I Did

Insta Reel collaborations

I collaborated with the photographers in the region and made Insta reels based on trends with the goal of making the viewers feel proud of their region. These reels generated hundreds of thousands of views.

Sweepstake giveaways

By creating sweepstakes posts, each time a student tagged a friend in the comments, they'd be entered for a chance to win a prize. One of the posts reached 1300 comments and drove hundreds of follows.

Incentivized story reposting

To be able to obtain the restaurant discounts, the students had to repost our posts on their story. This created more awareness for the account, improved the algorithm, and drove more business to the restaurants.
